BEARDSLEY RESERVOIR AFTERBAY 

Tri-Dam Project

The Beardsley Afterbay (Abay) Dam was constructed in 1956-1957 and is located downstream of the Beardsley Reservoir Dam. Maintenance on this historic site was proved necessary after a seepage evaluation was performed. The plan was sectioned into a two separate phase contracts. Initial work included borrow area development, restoration on north and south abutment cut-off walls, borrow area restoration, road and rip rap improvements. The main scope of the second phase included removal and replacement of the redwood decking  as well as installation of new steel sheet pile along the face of the dam. Inspection of the existing dam crib structure also took place along with replacing the interior structure fill material to ensure the integrity of the final structure.
 

LOST CREEK DAM CREST MODIFICATION

South Feather Water and Power Agency

This project included modifications to the Lost Creek Dam face and crest. Scope included reinforced concrete to be placed along the dam face and crest, excavation and slope protection, modification of inlet and outlet structures, pipeline replacement, along with crest modifications for access and safety.
 

LAKEWOOD DAM REPAIR AND SPILLWAY IMPROVEMENTS

Tuolumne Utilities District

The project was to repair Lakewood Dam, in Twain Harte, CA. The construction consisted of (but was not limited to) installing a cofferdam at the base of Sullivan Creek, installing gabion baskets at the base of the spillway, building a reinforced concrete headwall, placing and compacting embankment fill, constructing a new reinforced concrete spillway, fabricating and installing a maintenance access bridge.
