Potential candidates should have the following work experience and qualifications:

 

Project Engineer

  • A technical aptitude and the ability to conceptualize abstract concepts 

  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications

  • Knowledge of construction means/methods

  • Carry out assignments independently and efficiently, while meeting a high level of accuracy

  • Strong communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong proficiency with MS Excel spreadsheets

  • Proficiency with ACAD (and/or 3-D CAD software) is a plus

    

General task assignments for the Project Engineer position include:

 

  • Daily field oversight and coordination of work crews

  • Assisting the Project Manager in developing and implementing detailed work plans for various construction activities

  • Labor production tracking and cost forecasting

  • Projecting weekly schedules for work crews

  • Material takeoffs, procurement, and tracking      

  • Coordination of subcontractors and suppliers

  • Assisting in quality control oversight

  • Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of safety practices/measures
